Increasing demand for mechatronic engineers for cooling technology
On August 1, 2014 a total of 18 young people started their training at technotrans at Sassenberg.
Training is highly valuated at technotrans so that the range of training programs was constantly expanded during the past years. "The main focus of the training in addition to receiving the necessary expertise is the development of action competence and distinct team ability" explains Tina Wegmeth, Personnel and Training Officer, Human Resources. The objective of the trainig is that trainees are working more closely together in projects with greater personal responsibility in order to achieve this objective. "technotrans trains the specialists our company needs for the most part by itself. We attach great importance to a highly qualified training with regard to future demands, whereas our current focus for the training that just started is that we see a rise in demand for mechatronic engineers for cooling technology. Around 99% of all trainees were offered employment contracts after they have successfully passed their final exams. We can be proud of these good results", says Wegmeth.
Overall, technotrans has around 451 employees at its site in Sassenberg and is training 57 trainees as per August 1. The specialist for liquid technology, with 22 company locations and more than 770 employees local in all important markets worldwide, maintains a constant training quota of 12.6 percent and thus again exceeds the average German industry average of 6.5 percent. With its educational engagement, the company counters the shortage of highly skilled people and is one of the largest companies that takes on trainees in its region.
