Customised cooling solutions for industrial digital printing applications

Joint trade fair presentation by technotrans and MERLIN / Focus on cooling and air humidifying systems / omega.line units adaptable to different types of applications

High-performance cooling solutions from the customised project planning phase up to the actual commissioning of the systems: technotrans SE and MERLIN will jointly present their cooling and air humidifying systems at the Hunkeler Innovationdays event on 24-28 February in Lucerne. The focus will be put on methods for increasing the economic efficiency and productivity of industrial digital printing applications by using effective cooling solutions.

This year's Hunkeler Innovationdays event will be the fifth joint trade fair presentation of technotrans and MERLIN in Lucerne. "Our long-standing cooperation is based on successful products for the printing industry that always ideally complement one another," explains Peter Böcker, head of sales at technotrans. Both companies have the same goal: to supply powerful peripheral equipment to users in order to help them outperform their competitors. technotrans SE has been a well-established and reliable partner for the global printing industry for more than 30 years. Most of the printing presses worldwide are equipped with solutions made by the fluid technology specialist with its headquarters in Sassenberg, Germany. technotrans puts a strong emphasis on its high level of consulting expertise. "We assist our customers throughout the entire process from the customised project planning phase up to the actual commissioning of the systems and their maintenance," explains Böcker.

omega.line: an energy-efficient, low-wear cooling solution
With the omega.line series of individual machines, technotrans completely covers the demand in the field of digital printing presses. They have reliable, energy-saving components that also reduce the required level of maintenance. "Highly precise cooling systems such as the omega.line series precisely maintain the set temperature levels, thereby ensuring stable parameters. As a result, they can perfectly fulfil the requirements of high-performance printing presses with an ever-increasing printing quality," explains Böcker. All of the omega.line systems only require rather little maintenance and are low-wear solutions. Among other things, this is made possible by an easy-to-clean aluminium fabric air filter so that additional filter material is no longer needed.

In addition, the use of a chiller as a central system for several printing presses is becoming increasingly interesting for the printing companies. For these cases, technotrans offers customised solutions. technotrans offers its own comprehensive service network for project planning, installation and the commissioning of the systems. This ensures the consistent, professional maintenance of the systems which, in turn, guarantees projectable operating costs and a high level of system availability.

Strong partners for the printing industry
The cooperation partner MERLIN, which was founded in Ried in 1995, is one of the leading suppliers of air humidifying systems worldwide. The products of the company from Austria ensure optimum climatic conditions for printing applications. They prevent electrostatic charging, particulates, dimensional fluctuations of the paper and the undesired deviations of shape and fit, thereby ensuring trouble-free printing processes.

Visitors can find both companies on 24-28 February 2019 in the lobby of the Hunkeler Innovationdays event location.
