Solutions „Made in Germany“ in much demand in Asia: technotrans, system supplier for the offset printing industry, has received two important orders to equip new newspaper printing presses.
For the first time the sales team in the growth region Asia-Pacific, supported by their colleagues at the headquarters in Germany, even managed to have the blanket cleaning system contex.lb installed in the press directly at the factory of the printing press manufacturer. The Chinese Beijing Daily will receive a KBA Comet, that is factory fitted with the innovative cleaning system. Furthermore there will be dampening solution preparation systems and a complete central ink supply from technotrans in and around these newspaper web presses.
A second project also deals with newspaper printing. The Tianjin Daily has ordered a new Uniset 75 from manroland. Here the technotrans units will also take care of dampening solution preparation and central ink supply. The commissioning of the new machines is planned for the first half of 2010.
“In the last weeks of last year the interest in the new blanket cleaning system from technotrans increased, with various printing press manufacturers and also international newspaper printing companies expressing their interest,“ says Walter Bartmann, Key Account Manager at the German headquarters. „Just recently we were visited by employees from the French ,Le Monde’, who wanted more information on the contex.lb.“
The system contex.lb cleans the blanket using a continuous brush roller and requires a particularly small amount of solvent, due to the completely new dosing and flicker bar technology and a highly efficient transport of contaminants. This has a positive effect on purchasing and disposal costs and is moreover environmentally friendly.
Dirk Luedken, Sales Manager of technotrans Asia-Pacific is pleased by this success. „The renowned Asian printing houses rely on a central system supplier for peripheral units. Someone who is their contact for the installation and maintenance of all systems. Here our strong presence in Asia is an important factor.“
