Lubrication is an important factor in sheet metal forming processes. The company Fischer & Kaufmann GmbH & Co. KG (FIUKA) of Finnentrop, North Rhine Westphalia, Germany, continues to rely on spray oiling systems from technotrans AG. So far the devices have been installed on both new presses and also used to upgrade existing ones. The eighth spray lubrication system is designated for use on a new Aida servo press at the plant in Środa Śląska (Poland).
"We aspire to use the leading technology in all fields of our production," explains Tobias Heutger, Operations Manager for Germany and Poland at FIUKA. "Following a recommendation by our oiling advisor, two years ago, we launched our first experiment with a technotrans spraying system - and it more than fulfilled our expectations." In addition to the technical solution, the company from the Münsterland region of Germany also impressed with its rapid response times and reliable service.
Fischer & Kaufmann GmbH & Co. KG supplies manufacturers in the German and European automotive industries. The acclaimed company manufactures and sells a wide range of formed metal parts and components which are used in chassis, engine, gear and exhaust systems.
Added value for efficiency, workplace safety and environmental protection
In contrast with other spray systems, the technotrans AG lubrication system operates without compressed air. This means that there is no disruptive spray mist. There is no need for the acquisition of an expensive and maintenance-intensive suction system. There are no airborne particles in the ambient air, also to the benefit of the health of the press operator. The spray lubrication system applies the oil with an exceptionally high level of precision and repeatability. "This is economical and protects the environment," stipulates Heutger. Due to their inertia, their high purchase and maintenance costs, as well as their frequently unnecessarily high level of oil consumption, the lubrication systems that were previously used were no longer able to satisfy this requirement.
The company technotrans AG, which is based in the town of Sassenberg, Westphalia, Germany, is no newcomer to the world of spray technology. The company has been offering spray systems for various industrial applications for 17 years. For the last two years, the Sassenberg company has also been focusing on sheet metal forming - with increasing success, as confirmed by Alois Scharf, director of the Business Unit Ink & Fluid Technology at technotrans: "We consistently receive feedback from our customers to the effect that the economy, reliability and cleanliness are more than satisfying their expectations. This further encourages us in our efforts."
The collaboration with Fischer & Kaufmann represents another such positive reference. At FIUKA, seven presses with a pressing force of up to 800 t from Schuler/Müller Weingarten and Haulick + Roos have now been equipped with technotrans for metal lubrication at widths of up to 800 mm.
