gwk on solution approaches to energy efficiency and the “Internet of Things”
GWK Gesellschaft Wärme Kältetechnik mbH, Meinerzhagen puts the focus on the megatrends of energy efficiency and conductivity as part of Industry 4.0 in its trade fair appearance at Fakuma 2017 (Hall B1, Stand 1205). Along with a variety of new products and a representative extract from the cooling and temperature control technology product programme, the company is presenting a state-of-the-art container cooling plant as a contribution to climate protection and energy-efficient, networked production.
Also showing, with the help of the container cooling plant, are solutions for lowering energy costs that have been tried and tested over many years, such as free cooling, frequency-controlled drives, condensation pressure regulation dependent on the outside temperature, and cleaning and conditioning of the cooling water. These can be inspected by visitors directly on site.
Going beyond this state-of-the-art technology, gwk experts will also provide information on the new technical solutions already available for plastic producers to fulfil future, stricter environmental regulations. With competent knowledge of current issues, such as the implementation of the 42nd German Federal Immission Protection Ordinance (BImSchV) for evaporation cooling plants and the EU directive on fluorinated greenhouse gases with regard to their effects on the operators of cooling plants, the experts will make suggestions to interested customers on how they can manufacture in an environmentally responsible way with the lowest energy costs and so become fit for the future.
The same applies to the “Internet of Things”. gwk experts have also invited customers to the trade fair stand to link their expertise to customers’ applications. The “Internet of Things“ (IoT), or “Industry 4.0” as it is known in Germany, with its opportunities and risks for companies, has been a hot topic in the worlds of politics and economics for a long time. With the recording and monitoring of process parameters and plant components, bespoke IoT links for individual customer requirements can be actualised and genuine user value created.
The company has extended an open invitation to three parties to be held on three days (17th, 18th and 19th October) on the gwk stand, which will provide, amongst other things, an ideal framework for discussions on these future issues. The background to these events are the 50th birthday celebrations. The headline “50 years of gwk: quality, experience and competence” highlights the brand essence of the specialists in energy-efficient cooling and temperature control technology.
