Industry newcomer surprises at the EuroBLECH exhibition

technotrans: New, innovative concept brings spray oiling to perfection

Spray oiling of workpieces in metal working has become increasingly important in the last few years. The downside of this new process is a high level of contamination of the machinery and pollution of ambient air due to the formation of heavy spray mist. As a consequence, intricate extraction systems had to be installed.

With spray.xact, technotrans AG presents a highly flexible and easily adaptable technology that is used for the precise, automatic spray oiling of workpieces in metal working and pressing applications, thereby setting new standards in the prevention of spray mists. The modular system has a simple and compact design. It can be easily retrofitted into punching, cutting, or deep-drawing machines. The economical and precise dosing of the oil is ensured by a valve that pulsates at a high frequency and that is equipped with a single-product spray nozzle. The spray jet is generated without compressed air. In standard systems, compressed air encourages the formation of spray mist. In the technotrans system, compressed air is only used for the media supply via a dosing piston pump. As a result, the energy-consuming and cost-intensive consumption of compressed air is reduced to a minimum. The nozzles can be actuated individually. The beginning and end of the spraying process as well as the quantity and frequency are controlled by the control system in a job-related manner. These parameters can be modified even during a running process. This enables the spraying of patterns and the nearly loss-free oiling of asymmetric workpieces. Extraction is not required. The simple design of the spray.xact system is particularly eye-catching: All of the valves of a spray bar are supplied via a common supply line and connected in series by way of hoses. There is no need for sophisticated hose and cable packages. Individual nozzles and valves can be replaced easily and without the use of tools.

technotrans AG was founded in Sassenberg, Germany, in 1970. Today, the company has more than 670 employees. The group has a global sales and service network with 19 locations. It made its mark as an OEM supplier providing treatment and circulation system to the printing industry. In this segment, technotrans is the global market leader. Other core competences include machine and laser cooling systems, filtration systems as well as liquid, dosing, and spray systems. The new spray.xact spray oiling system is based on 30 years of experience with more than 25,000 installed spray systems in the graphics industry. The name speaks for itself: technotrans commits itself to technology transfer and develops its successful products into solutions for other industries.

Together with its co-operation partner KLH Kältetechnik from Bad Doberan, Germany, technotrans will present a new solution, based on the shared core competence of cooling, at the EuroBLECH 2012.

From the 23 to 27 October 2012 technotrans will present itself as a new innovation partner for the metal-working industry. The spray.xact spray oiling system will be demonstrated live in hall 27 at stand B74. The industry newcomer decided to take this step with good cause. Test installations, for example in the automotive sector, were so successful that some of the customers ordered additional spray oiling systems already during the test runs. Visitors to the trade exhibition can try the precision of spray.xact themselves.
