technotrans AG will present cooling solutions for transportation applications at this year's InnoTrans 2014. In the focus: mobile cooling systems for batteries and recoolers for charging stations and converters.
Electromobility is increasingly finding its way into our everyday life and technotrans AG from Sassenberg offers the corresponding cooling solutions. Among these are customised cooling systems for mobile energy stores such as lithium-ion batteries as well as supercaps and ultracaps. The cooling and temperature control systems are customised for the manufacturers of the energy stores as well as for the manufacturers of buses and tramways, and they are qualified and manufactured in accordance with the relevant standards.
For many years, technotrans has been using its extensive experience in close co-operation with various partners from a wide range of industries in order to develop customised, mobile, and stationary cooling systems. "With our zeta.line, we offer modular cooling units that can be integrated in a particularly space-saving manner into the vehicles in combination with the energy store. The batteries are cooled either actively by way of a compressor or passively and, thereby, in an energy-saving manner by way of the ambient air if this is possible from the point of view of the temperature level and ambient conditions", explains Christian Walczyk, head of the sales team for industrial system solutions of technotrans. Mr Walczyk emphasises that the zeta.line units do not only ensure optimum cooling. Instead, they can also heat the lithium-ion batteries at cold outside temperatures, thereby bringing them to their optimum operating temperature. "In order to keep the energy stores permanently at their optimum temperature while ensuring the process reliability of the temperature control system, the technotrans units communicate with the battery controller via standard interfaces." Apart from mobile cooling units, technotrans AG will also present stationary cooling systems for charging stations and converters. These are usually based on glycol recoolers, since the required cooling level enables the use of free cooling methods. The systems for converters and charging stations with a cooling capacity up to 900 kW are installed all around the world by technotrans service teams.
You can find technotrans at the InnoTrans trade fair in Berlin on 23-26 September in hall 14.1 at stand 201. Appointments for meetings can be arranged by phone prior to the trade fair on +49 (0) 25 83-30 1 -1812.
