gds GmbH will once again be exhibiting at the annual tekom conference and exhibition in Stuttgart from November 5 to 7, 2024. Alongside a comprehensive portfolio of software solutions and services in the field of technical documentation, gds is also focusing on the digital product passport (DPP) and the innovative Digital Product Compliance Concept. The aim is to provide companies with support when it comes to complying with new regulatory requirements and the optimization of information processes.

The EU Ecodesign Directive requires clear structuring and the provision of product information in digital form in order to be able to register their sustainability and life cycle better. This affects numerous companies facing the challenge of producing and managing technical documentation at a new digital level. gds is presenting solution concepts for this issue and is demonstrating how companies can successfully implement the increasing demands for documentation and compliance.

"With our solutions, we help companies to digitize information processes and efficiently implement the legal requirements in the process", says Anne Kudla, Sales and Marketing Manager at gds. "In particular the digital product passport will require a comprehensive digitalization strategy in the future. With our content management system and consultancy services, we help meet these challenges. The tekom annual conference is an important platform for us in order to make direct contact with customers and interested parties".

A focus on digital documentation processes: gds is presenting innovative solutions

gds GmbH will be presenting its full portfolio of solutions on stand 2/B01. Visitors can find out about the market-proven content management systems XR and docuglobe. These systems provide companies with the ability to create and manage complex technical contents in a structured manner. In the process, they not only help with compliance with regulatory stipulations but also contribute to an increase in efficiency and process optimization.

In addition, gds is showing supplementary software tools, such as authordesk and reviewhub which have been developed for the requirements in technical documentation. authordesk facilitates user-friendly and automated reviewing of texts while reviewhub helps with efficient, web-based alignment and approval of contents.

With the easybrowse Content Delivery Portal, gds provides a comprehensive solution for intelligent provision of information and knowledge which ensures systematic distribution of information to the respective recipients – just how it is required, online or offline, on PCs or tablets.

The gds experts on site will also be explaining which new requirements for technical documentation the digital product passport brings with it, and how companies can meet them. We will be happy to talk to you about the numerous modified conditions for technical documentation in the standards, ordinances and directives. The Ecodesign Directive and the requirement of a digital product pass (DPP) mean that in future it will be necessary to provide information in digital form. As a result, technical documentation takes on a central role when it comes to the development of a digitalization strategy.
