Local commitment to healthy interiors: technotrans SE is donating three tt.air mobile air purifiers to institutions in the region. Today, Wednesday, the company handed over the units to representatives of St. Nikolaus elementary school in Sassenberg, Freckenhorster Werkstätten GmbH and Josephs Hospital in Warendorf. The particularly quiet devices with H14 HEPA filters reliably separate viruses, pollen, bacteria and other substances from the air. By using the air purifiers, the donation recipients not only reduce the risk of infection, but also create a healthy indoor climate beyond the current pandemic.

For over a year now, the corona pandemic has meant that numerous facilities throughout Germany have had to close again and again or can only operate with severe restrictions. However, technical solutions are an effective support in the fight against the corona virus - as proven, among other things, by a new study by the University of Münster. With the donation of the tt.air room ventilator, technotrans is supporting regional facilities with such a solution. "Especially in these difficult times, effective and unbureaucratic aid is important - particularly at the local level," says Michael Finger, Spokesman of the Board of Management of technotrans SE. "The donation of our air purifiers is therefore a matter of the heart for us."

With Freckenhorster Werkstätten GmbH and Josephs-Hospital Warendorf, two of the largest employers in the region will receive one of the urgently needed air purifiers. The decision to donate to St. Nikolaus elementary school in Sassenberg was made because of the family connection to the St. Nikolaus sponsoring association.

Sassenberg's mayor Josef Uphoff, who attended the handover of the donation, praised the company's regional commitment in particular: "I very much appreciate the fact that technotrans has already been involved in social and charitable activities in our region for many years. In my eyes, this donation underscores the company's commitment to its location and is a meaningful support in light of the ongoing pandemic."

Air purifier tt.air: effective support
Stefanie Dilla-Kell, head of St. Nikolaus elementary school, emphasizes the important contribution the donation makes to greater safety: "We are grateful for the donation. The device will be used in the music room of our school. Due to the size of the room, part of the supervision currently takes place there. In view of the school openings and rising infection figures, the device gives us a much better feeling." Herbert Kraft, managing director of Freckenhorster Werkstätten GmbH, agrees and points out the problems in winter: "Especially in the cold season, regular ventilation is difficult in view of the risk of catching colds. The technotrans air purifier is therefore an effective supporting measure."

Equipped with an H14 HEPA filter, the tt.air separates aerosols with a particle size of typically 0.1 to 0.3 micrometers at a rate of 99.995 percent - including viruses, bacteria, pollen, mold and other substances. Thus, the room ventilator is an effective support even for the post-corona pandemic. In addition, the device is very energy-efficient and quiet. According to Rainer Budde, curator of Josephs Hospital in Warendorf, this is ideal for the hospital: "Effective filter performance, low noise and flexible application options - these are precisely the characteristics we need in a medical environment, and we are therefore pleased that the technotrans unit meets these requirements."

Professional air purifiers equipped with the so-called H14-HEPA filter reduce the risk of corona virus infection via aerosols more effectively than ventilating rooms. This is confirmed by a study published in February 2021 by the HYBETA hygiene institute on behalf of Münster University Hospital.
