technotrans AG will present its product portfolio for the punching industry at the 9. Kongress Stanztechnik (9th Congress of the Punching Industry) from 20-21 March in Dortmund. With different versions of the spray.xact system, the company from Sassenberg provides press manufacturers and metalworking companies with a system for low-mist lubrication. The spray.xact reflection system, which has been specially developed for use in automatic punch presses, produces a particularly fine layer of oil thanks to its reflection surface. Like all the other models, this solution does not require any compressed air or an exhaust system.

Coils, blanks or profiles: As a full-line supplier, technotrans provides the complete programme for the lubrication of different types of materials in the spray lubrication area. This is done with oils, emulsions or anti-corrosion agents. In the spray lubrication process, the spray.xact is particularly economical, since the low-mist system does not require any compressed air and, consequently, also no exhaust system. Business Unit Ink & Fluid Technology Manager Alois Scharf: “We have also developed an optional spray pattern optimiser. In the future, we want to meet the needs of applications such as the forming of the outer skin panels of vehicles bodies or the spraying of very narrow patterns.”

technotrans offers several different variants of its spray lubrication system. spray.xact reflection, for example, has been developed for use in automatic punch presses. "Thanks to the reflection surface, the oil is distributed even more finely so that a mere wisp of oil is applied," explains Scharf. This type of indirect lubrication is particularly suitable for the high-volume production of small parts, e.g. plug contacts. In addition, spray.xact reflection can be used for the lubrication of coils in automatic punching and bending presses. spray.xact easy, on the other hand, is ideal for simple applications with up to four spray nozzles. The nozzles can be positioned flexibly inside the press. This results in a reasonably priced variant for all types of applications on a smaller scale.

For bigger applications with up to 40 nozzles or more, spray.xact b is used without an enclosure and spray.xact c with a nearly closed spraying chamber. Metalworking companies benefit from the advantages of this unique spray lubrication system: Thanks to its special, high-frequency valves, the spray.xact system does not require any compressed air. As a result, the system is nearly mist-free so that there is no need for an exhaust system. The application of the oil can be controlled in a highly precise and comfortable manner. All of these aspects make spray.xact a low-wear and low-maintenance solution with a high level of economic efficiency.

In addition, technotrans continuously expands its global remote access system via which the service engineers can access the control system of the lubrication system. For service purposes or in the event of operating errors, technotrans experts have quick online access to the system and can eliminate faults and malfunctions more quickly. Downtimes can be minimised considerably. “With this, we recognise the fact that our systems are installed with increasing frequency abroad,” explains Scharf.
