process chiller omega.eco from 10 to 60 kW cooling capacity / Novelty meets new strict EU requirements / modular toolsmart.line for tooling machines

technotrans will present its new process chiller of the omega.eco series for the first time at this year's EMO trade fair in Hanover. With a refrigeration capacity spectrum from ten up to 60 kW, it is particularly suitable for laser machines and machine tools. This innovative product fulfils the stricter ecodesign requirements for energy-related products in line with a new EU directive. In addition, the company will also showcase its proven toolsmart.line as well as integrated, customised cooling solutions. technotrans will be present in hall 6 at stand K54 of the EMO trade fair.

With its new omega.eco process chiller, technotrans is already in compliance with the requirements concerning air-heating products, cooling products, fan coil units and process chillers with a high operating temperature that will take effect as of 1 January 2018. These requirements particularly apply to the energy efficiency and nitrogen oxide emissions of the devices. "We are well prepared for the new legislation and will offer our customers as of 1 January 2018 a solution that is perfectly in compliance with the regulations," says Christian Walczyk, head of industrial system solutions at technotrans.

The omega.eco series is equipped with highly efficient plate heat exchangers for general liquid cooling. Combined with the microchannel technology, it can reduce the use of refrigerants by up to 60% compared to conventional solutions. The energy costs can also be reduced considerably: Depending on the ambient temperature, the omega.eco system automatically adjusts the optimum operating point of the complete system in terms of its energy efficiency.

High level of cost efficiency and operational reliability
Due to the reduced use of refrigerants combined with the hermetically sealed refrigeration system, units with a refrigeration capacity up to 33 kW do not have to undergo annual leakage testing. This, in turn, leads to maintenance cost savings for the owners. Another striking feature of the omega.eco system is its high level of operational reliability. Additional sensor systems in the refrigeration circuit as well as in the cooling medium circuit ensure continuous process monitoring. Numerous options, e.g. additional cooling circuits, different types of media or a free cooling function, enable the precise customisation of the new process chiller, and the ecological footprint of the cooling solution has also been reduced.

Apart from the omega.eco system, technotrans will also present its modular toolsmart.line for the filtration and temperature control of machine tools. The available models include a basic system up to the flexible toolsmart.xt unit with a tank capacity up to 4,000 litres and a filtration rate of up to 750 l/min. Customised solutions and integrated special systems will also be a hot topic at our trade fair stand, explains Christian Walczyk: "Bespoke and technologically sophisticated solutions that we develop with a strong focus on the specific requirements of our customers are our strength as a system partner."
