- Application-specific cooling systems for UV curing systems
- Focus on sustainability as a result of optimum system adaptation
- Longstanding collaboration between technotrans and IST METZ
technotrans SE will present its capability to provide solutions in the sector of cooling systems for UV curing systems at this year’s UV days in-house exhibition of IST METZ GmbH & Co. KG. Taking a holistic view of sustainability is at the centre of the exhibition where technotrans will present the smart, precise and reliable networking of cooling and drying systems in energy-efficient overall systems. The thermal management specialist and longstanding partner of IST METZ will be among the exhibitors at the UV Days in Nürtingen from 4 to 6 July 2023.
“Precision, reliability, and quality – these are the factors that predominantly determine the performance and service life of a UV curing system,” says Peter Böcker, deputy Head of Sales at technotrans. “UV dryers are extremely sensitive; leakage and the associated escape of fluids will result in damage to, or failure of the dryer. For these reasons, dryers and coolers must be optimally adapted to one another and act as a unit.” technotrans has been working closely with IST METZ, manufacturer of drying and UV curing systems, on an international level for decades and has been one of the regular exhibitors at UV Days. In the past, both companies have established important standards in terms of technology, which have contributed to a successive increase in the energetic efficiency of their systems and processes.
This year once again, technotrans will exhibit as a partner at UV Days and will be available to answer any questions visitors may have about dryer cooling. Here the focus is on addressing the future market requirements with respect to energy-efficient and sustainable solutions. The company develops application-specific cooling solutions for UV and LED curing systems, offering a capacity range from 40 to more than 100 kilowatts. While LED dryers require low temperatures and, consequently, the use of an active cooling system, technotrans systems in the UV range frequently operate with a passive water cooling system using heat exchangers.
“The key to more sustainability in these processes primarily lies in the capability of networking all system components to ensure continuity and consistency,” explains Peter Böcker. This includes, especially, the flawless temperature control between the cooling unit and the dryer. If necessary, it also involves the precise adaptation of the recooler to reduce the water temperature to the required values in an energy-efficient manner, which is indispensable. “This is made possible by the combination of a trusting interaction among all partners and application expertise. technotrans and IST METZ are well equipped with both. Sophisticated technologies for the future that go easy on natural resources are created as a result,” Peter Böcker pointed out.
