technotrans AG will present its further development of the toolsmart combination unit at the AMB trade fair in Stuttgart on 16-19 September. The modular solution for cooling, conditioning, and filtering cooling lubricants replaces several peripheral units that are used in combination with a machine tool. "Apart from the small footprint, another advantage of the toolsmart system is that a whole series of processes can be controlled via only one control system", says Christian Walczyk, head of industrial system solutions at technotrans. If, for example, a single refrigeration unit supplies different areas of a machining centre, this means a high potential for cost savings and advantages in view of an energy-efficient and environmentally friendly production.

The toolsmart systems have a modular and compact design. They are optimally adapted to the specific requirements of the application in question. As a result, they are also suitable for retrofitting to already existing systems. From the basic system up to the flexible toolsmart.xt for tank volumes up to 4,000 litres and a filtration rate up to 750 l/min, the units are also suitable for sophisticated materials.

In addition, the proven multi-zone cooling system enables the system to be used as a cooling system for additional areas of the machine tool. The spindle, hydraulic system, switch cabinet, cooling lubricant, and other components can be supplied by one unit centrally via independent refrigeration circuits.
