• Reisner moves into a new production and office building
• New competence centre for large energy-saving refrigeration systems
• Sufficient capacities for future expansions

The new technotrans SE site in the ECO PORT business park in Holzwickede starts operating. After a construction period of only nine months, Reisner Cooling Solutions GmbH, a subsidiary of technotrans, relocates to the new buildings at Gottlieb-Daimler-Straße within sight of Dortmund airport. Apart from a production floor of approx. 2,000 m², the company will now also use a new office building of approx. 900 m². The new building increases the production capacity and ensures a higher level of flexibility for the growing project sector. The modern facilities can be modified at short notice in line with the given requirements. In accordance with the technotrans group's "Future Ready 2025" strategy, Reisner will become part of the technotrans brand at the turn of the year 2021/2021.

Ultra-fast completion: After a construction period of only nine months, Reisner has relocated to its new production and office buildings. In week 3 of this year, the production moved to the new site, followed by the administration two weeks later. According to Thomas Imenkämper, Managing Director of Reisner, this relocation was a necessary step which was completed at the perfect moment: "Due to our ongoing growth, our old facility had reached its capacity limits. As a result, the container production sector had to increasingly shift to outdoor areas. In addition, handling these large products with a mobile crane was rather cumbersome." Now, the company can work on a total area of one hectare with the option of future expansions. The new 2,000 m² production shop offers ample space for the simultaneous production of several large refrigeration units or container cooling systems. The entire area has a multifunctional design and is used for a wide range of tasks, e.g. the production of refrigeration systems and control cabinets, for plastics manufacturing and for the production of container systems and steel structures. The size of the production areas can be changed flexibly based on the current project requirements.

However, Reisner does not only gain more space; the new location is also a competence centre for the large energy-saving refrigeration systems sector of the entire technotrans group. "Our new facility enables us to develop our innovative technologies in a particularly fast and smooth manner. As a result of our ongoing growth, we are looking for skilled specialists in all fields who would like to join us," says Imenkämper.

Flexibility meets efficiency
In addition to the new production shop, the company also built a new 900 m² two-storey office building. In this context, Reisner decided to implement several smaller offices with modern equipment instead of an open plan office. The company set great store on a high level of energy efficiency and a resource-saving concept for the realisation of the production shop and office building. As a result, the new facilities fulfil the KfW 55 energy standard, have a photovoltaic system as well as a special floor system with an integrated floor heating system which is supplied by way of a particularly energy-efficient heat pump made by Reisner. In 2022, Reisner will take part in a pilot project in which its buildings will be connected to the local hydrogen network in order to reduce the use of fossil fuels for the air conditioning of buildings.

Another advantage is the location of the new buildings: The ECO PORT business park in Holzwickede is home to numerous small and medium-sized enterprises as well as several large, international companies. "Not only are we located at the heart of the Westphalian Ruhr region, but we also have a great view of Dortmund airport which is within easy reach for our customers and partners," explains Imenkämper.

Reisner becomes part of the technotrans umbrella brand
Apart from the new company location, Reisner will undergo additional changes this year. In accordance with the new strategy of the technotrans group, the company will become part of the technotrans brand at the turn of the year 2021/2021 alongside the other companies with the exception of gds GmbH. The aim is to present a group-wide company image to the public.
