- Solutions protect the environment and reduce operating costs
- technotrans presents its energy-efficient eco.line series
- Facilitates up to 92 percent in annual electricity savings
For more sustainability in the plastics industry: technotrans will be presenting its highly efficient cooling and temperature-control solutions for a temperature range from -80 to +400°C at the KUTENO. Thanks to energy-efficient operation and the use of climate-friendly refrigerants, these are particularly environmentally friendly. At the trade fair, the focus will be particularly on the eco.line temperature-control unit series with an extended temperature range from 95 °C to 180 °C: All the models in this series are equipped with speed-controlled high-efficiency pumps and facilitate annual electricity savings of up to 92 percent when compared to conventional technology.
Energy-efficient cooling and temperature control are a key driver for carbon-neutral production in the plastics industry. "Reducing energy consumption and therefore CO2 emissions is rapidly gaining in importance - and not just since the energy crisis", explains Fabian Heuel, Division Manager Sales and member of the management of technotrans solutions GmbH. "Our technologies are solutions for the industry to overcome these challenges in the short term".
technotrans focuses on the development of energy-efficient cooling and temperature-control solutions. By using climate-friendly refrigerants with a low global warming potential (GWP) as well as highly efficient components and control strategies, these operate in particularly sustainable manner. Digital solutions such as process data monitoring are also gaining in importance. "From -80 to +400 °C - our wide temperature range offers a unique portfolio of system solutions for the plastics industry", explains Heuel.
When planning a central recooling system, technotrans attaches particular importance to the environmentally and energy-conscious use of components. These include energy-cost-optimised refrigeration units and heat pumps from our own production in Meinerzhagen and Holzwickede. Combined with winter relief and heat recovery, the high-performance cooling systems reduce both operating costs and the carbon footprint. As a result of legal requirements, technotrans is gradually reducing the use of HFC refrigerants and is designing refrigeration units for the future with propane as a natural refrigerant.
Sustainable temperature control with the eco.line series
technotrans is exhibiting the eco.line series at the KUTENO: The combination of highly efficient temperature control units and water distributors with reliable, maintenance-free flow measurement creates the perfect base for energy-efficient plastics processing. Since the expansion of the series last year, the units allow flow rates from 60 to 440 litres per minute.
The temperature control units are designed for media temperatures of 95, 140, 160 and 180 °C. Speed-controlled pumps ensure demand-oriented and efficient energy use. In addition, the so-called "longlife" stainless steel heating cartridge with long-term guarantee minimises energy loss by transferring the heat to the medium without transmission resistance.
Climate protection and reduced operating costs go hand in hand
Users of the eco.line series save up to 92 percent in electricity when compared to conventional temperature control technology with uncontrolled peripheral impeller pumps. In combination with government subsidies, the investment very quickly pays for itself. "technotrans solutions help companies in the plastics industry to not only reduce their carbon footprint, but also to benefit very directly from reduced operating costs", explains Heuel.
technotrans solutions will be exhibiting at the KUTENO from 9 to 11 May at stand J13 in Hall 5.
