Increasing energy-efficiency and reducing costs – those are the primary objectives in production.

That is already possible now with efficient cooling from technotrans: The beta.ps eco series provides users with speed-controlled cooling water pumps for increased operational energy-efficiency. The speed is controlled by way of a frequency converter. The output of the pump is therefore adjusted in line with operating conditions at all times. This means that when less cooling water is required, the pump’s delivery rate is reduced automatically and with it the amount of current consumption.

Since a pump station always has to be designed to meet maximum requirements – the hottest day of the year at full machine capacity – this means a substantial energy saving potential in practice. Together with beta.ps eco, the combination can reduce the fixed costs by as much as 50 percent in many cases.
